This review explores Stories of Mentoring Teacher-Researchers, a collection of narratives edited by Erzsébet Ágnes Békés and colleagues, that highlights the transformative role of mentoring in teacher-research. Drawing from my personal experience as a mentee in the IATEFL mentoring program, I reflect on how the book resonated with my journey, particularly the support, flexibility, and encouragement I received from my mentor. The review categorizes key themes found in the stories presented in the book, such as mentors' adaptability, the challenges mentees face in understanding action research, and the professional achievements that emerged, including conference presentations and publications. Through a blend of analysis and personal insight, the review emphasizes the importance of supportive mentoring relationships and the lasting impact they have on teachers' growth, agency, and sense of belonging within a research community.
